When the Levant's economy was well-known for being situated along the Silk Road, Khalil Wardé founded a business selling fabrics for furniture in Damascus, a significant hub for trade and commerce. The firm quickly grew in significance at the local level.

While business in Damascus was declining during the French occupation, Beirut emerged as a crucial western trading hub. Wardé consequently relocated to Allenby Street in the Central District of Beirut in 1924 from Hamadiyyeh Souk.

Following Lebanon's independence, a third point of sale was launched in the thriving Hamra area thanks to the efforts of the brothers Joe, Gabriel, and Pierre Warde.
1974-1990
Despite the civil war in Lebanon, the company continued to grow with the governance of Pierre Warde, his brother Gabriel and his son André. Three branches opened in Lebanon in Zalka, Hazmieh, and Saida. Besides, exclusive representatives were deployed in Tripoli and Zahle, and warehouses were expanded following the growing stock.

Thanks to the watchful guidance of André Warde, the company dynamically evolved and transformed its operations locally and internationally, with a gradual expansion of its overseas shops across several countries in the MENA region.

Warde began expanding outside of Lebanon to the MENA region mainly after 2006 as a result of the unpredictability. Following the direction of four successive generations, Wardé built seven significant locations in Lebanon and is additionally represented by a large number of exclusive agents and galleries in Tripoli, Zahle, Tyr, and Nabatiyeh.

Warde continuous to grow despite major changes in the market and consumer behavioir and has now expanded its export business in more than eight MENA nations (KSA, UAE, Egypt, Kuwait, Jordan, Oman, Qatar, Nigeria, Ghana).
